being neutered, and holly having 2 (yes 2!) mis mate injections, we stupidly thought we'd be ok. A week before he was born, a freind who is also a breeder, said holly looked like she was putting on weight, could she be pregnant? Of course, it was possible, we took her for a scan the next day, the vet couldnt find a heartbeat, so we should prepare for the worst. The next day we saw another vet, no scan this time, but he estimated two pups, and that they would be stillborn as no trace of movement or heartbeats. One week later on halloween, holly started
labour at 11.30 in the morning, by 12.30 there
There it was one live puppy born 31st october 2000. hence the name halloween harvey. |

He only had 5 faults in Intermediate Agility Watch Out - harv's coming!!!!!! UPDATE: 8TH AUGUST 2003 Harv took part in an exemption show yesterday, and you'll never believe it but he came 1st in Best Crossbreed!!! all i can say is wow, at least hes finally won something!! Good old harv! 10th September 2003, Harvey at the vets again, he has eaten a box of pedigree biskrok biscuits aswell as the actual box, plus a packet of foil wrapped winalot rewards. He's a very poorly boy,he has to wear a collar because he wont stop licking himself! September again..... 30th Harv has coughed this morning, great, kennel cough now!! dog club shut for two weeks. none of our other dogs caught it though!...luckily! October 10th, vets again.....maybe we should take out shares or something.....? first walk since the 'cough', harvey has tried to follow holly through a barbed wire fence, unfortunatley he was too big to squeeze under like his mum, so decided to try and jump it instead.....and belly flopped! so now we have a few cuts and one very near miss by his willy! collar on again, may aswell leave it permanently on him i reckon!!! lets try for a couple of weeks...or even months without seeing the vet!! |

October 2004 Harv is still nuts! No Change there! He is getting on well in training, but still has so much to learn! he has lovely weaves, and he is learning to stop on conatcts, we had an intense session on just contacts the other night and after about half an hour, he started to remember what he had to do! i think repetition is definatley what he needs more of so that it sinks in!!! He is still really quick, sometimes tim
rushes him which is when he starts dropping poles,
(i can hear you laughing!!) |
