Puppy Diary (weeks 1 – 5)

Josie (waggerland josie) was mated on 14th September 2002 with Jazz (Lydeardlea the Jazz Singer at Shamorel) it seemed like ages until her first scan to confirm her pregnancy - then on Sunday 17th November after 2 days showing all signs of giving birth - our vet told us after examining her, we shouldn't wait any longer, and that she would need a cesarean ASAP, so that same afternoon, she had 6 gorgeous babies!

As this was her first litter, not giving birth naturally, confused her a lot, for the first 3 days she refused to clean them, she was quite happy however to let them feed, on the following Wednesday though, she suddenly did the lot!
Then she was a very proud and happy mum!

Onto the pups, we have 2 boys now named tigger, with the white ear, and Joe, a classic black and white, both boys are the biggest in the litter - tigger being the one nicknamed heifer - for looking like a big cow!! (Sorry Lolly!) All of the girls are different too, one has 2 black spots by her ears(2 spot), and looks like she may turn tri, then there is one with half a collar (1/2 collar), one with an m shaped mark nicknamed Motorola (cos of the logo) the other is the tiny girl (teeny weeny)with slightly wonky classic marks, possibly going tri also,

All the pups are fat,healthy,& noisy... as well as fidgets!!

3 weeks,
teeth nearly all through - josie not impressed by that!!
All are taking to eating mush really well - they look like little piranhas!
(Sorry im terrible at spelling!)

5 weeks,
all ok,
I don't have much of a house left!!
Not really, they are all pretty good!
All pups are a great hit with the local kids, who come to play nearly every day,
....im sure their parents love the fresh poo smell they take home!!

Weeks 6 - 8

Joe (classic boy) is the first pup to go, it's going to be strange without him! i'm sure Chris and his family will take good care of him though!! Next to go is Tigger (boy with white ear) he is going locally to a friend of ours, Lolly, so we'll get to see him really often, the black and white girl nicknamed motorola was next, now named Murran, she now lives with Morag and her family who are also close by, next then was teeny weeny Heli, who wasn't so teeny in the end! she has gone to live with Rob on Exmoor,

.....and then there were only two!!........

1/2 collar was chosen last minute by Lauren, who is another friend, who couldn't make her mind up!! When she came she ended up going home with Popi - then we had a dilemma! As the two spot pup was our fave from day 1, we ummed and arred for a few days before deciding she would be perfect for us, so Megan is our newest resident.
