Holly
Moldash Moonstruck for Harrjak
24th July 1997 ~ 13th August 2011
Holly, my golden girl, in every way :) I miss her dearly, she gave the BEST cuddles, and was an amazing listener whenever i had any problems.
Its still very raw for me, the daily realisation she isnt going to be a home waiting in the window wagging her tail and running to grab something to show me whenever i come home, looking up to the house just isnt the same any more :-(
Hols loved to bark, loved to swim, sunbathe, eat of course she was after all a goldie!! and best of all chase small furries! Embaressing me several times by presenting me with various 'finds' on our walks, and finding marines on the common to scare off by barking at them :)
Holly had 3 fab litters, the first of course being our very own Harvey, a true credit to his parents as he is just as lovely as them both combined!
Holly & I competed in agility, we never did very well at it, but gained a couple of rossettes!! Her favourite thing was to have a really lovely run, and then run past the last jump!! She used to bark around the majority of courses in true goldie style!
Holly was bitten by an adder while on a walk in May 2011. Being almost 14 it was touch and go, her bite was on her face, near her nose, she was taken straight into the vets only a few minutes away, and treated overnight, before being allowed home. She never made a full recovery from this, although she was greatly improved, her kidneys and liver started to struggle, In the end, in august, holly started refusing food, and lost almost a quarter of her body weight, unfortunatley the effects of the adder bite were causing too many issues for her to fight off, and she became too weak to move, holly was given sleep on 13th of august in my arms in our lovely vets garden, as she knew how much she loved to be outside.
Along with Jak, she is missed more than words can ever describe
